I visited Teeside Uni on the 9th May, and I went to a number of talks about sports journalism and everything alike. The first talk was by a journalist from The Sports Bible,  he talked about the inner workings of the social media business. He told us how certain that he was of the career path the had chosen and how much he would recommend it to others. Another talked about his experiences with jobs that his position had shown him in the past, for example he talked about visiting oil rigs. He mentioned that there were exciting attributes to his job, as well as the times being flexible, which was necessary due to his personal life. As well as the sports journalism course was shown to be for younger people rather than that of older, this is due to the amount of social media and online presence needed for the role.
