Film Trailer & Evaluation
For my trailer there is a number stylistic editing choices that are vital for my trailer to be effective and follow the codes and conventions of a traditional film trailer. Firstly, I used sharp and quick cuts instead of long cuts, this is so that the audience only see a little bit of shots and it leaves them wanting more. It also creates a high tempo, which builds tension and the audiences will be left on the edge of their seats, which is the purpose of a film trailer. It also helps keep the trailer to an appropriate timeframe, which is vital as if it gets too long and could become boring to the audience. Secondly, I edited in appropriate music to compliment the shots and cuts. To do this I had had to find my desired music on YouTube, then convert the MP4 youtube video to an MP3, then import the MP3 into adobe premiere pro.
