The film is a thriller. The thriller genre is a genre that can evoke a lot of emotion, The aim of my short film is to capture the audience in key moments and create a tension that will culminate in a big ending, The project will have many different layers and a deeper meaning that will become apparent to the audience throughout the film. Storyboarding is vital in pre-production planning is most media sectors that rely on visual design. Storyboards allow filmmakers, animators, music video producers and video game producers to visualise their ideas before it is created, this allows them to see their idea clearly and amend anything that doesn't work, which saves time during production all crew already know what is wanted from that shot. Storyboards vary depending on which media sector you look at. On this film storyboard you can see the emotion and sense of panic on the characters face, the imagery of the storyboard shows the reader the panic by using a close up on the face of the driver, and also the arrows that show how fast and frantically actions like the moving of the gear stick are. Master scene script (All examples are from drama film 'Brooklyn') A master scene script is the accepted format for film production in the industry. It is purposely designed to be easy to navigate and read for producers to show potential investors, it offers both description and dialogue to make the story easy to follow and read, this means technical information is very limited in the MSS format. A master scene script must follow a few conventions to be read or considered by a commissioning editor. The font must always be courier and the size must be 12, slug lines and characters names in dialogue must be capitalised. Another convention of the master scene script is voiceover and offscreen must be abbreviated as V.O. and O.S. Footer at the bottom should say CONTINUED where a scene continues to the next page, the next page should have CONT. top left. To create awareness for Identity fraud, I filmed and edited a video about it. I edited the video on the premiere pro software. This software was perfect as it allowed me to crop and change shots as well as easily adding music.  As shown on the above image I added a graphic to the video to show a stat about identity fraud in cases for 16-21 year olds , which was in the brief    This above image shows how I organised the clip in the editing software 

Scriptwriting (assignment 1)

As a writer theres a lot of things you need to do before you idea starts production. A writer has to get the 'greenlight' for their idea an script. The 'greenlight' is given by the commissioning editor who is a senior employee of broadcaster and responsible for selecting ideas for the broadcaster. To get the 'greenlight' the commissioning editor must authoritise a particular budget and approve of the plot/storyline of the writers idea. After the commissioning editor gives the 'greenlight' for production they have creative input and oversee the production. The role of a producer in the commissioning process is to oversee financial, legal and administration of the production. Producers also hire the cast, whether it be in actors/actresses in film or television or voice actors/actresses in games.
